South San Francisco USD Master Plan
South San Francisco Unified School District
H+A prepared a District-wide Master Plan for South San Francisco USD. The Master Plan is a comprehensive document that includes facility assessments for sixteen separate K-12 school sites, cost estimates, and studies that outline possible architectural solutions to meet current and projected District needs. It also establishes guidelines for future classroom modifications of data, lighting, and efficient energy use. This document will allow the District to schedule maintenance and plan for capital improvements in a systematic and long-range process.
H+A is also providing architectural services for several interim deferred maintenance projects during the summer breaks. We ve already replaced the outdoor tennis courts at South San Francisco High School, which included site regarding, new drainage infrastructure, new surfacing, and new nets and benches - all in time for the Fall season. We are currently working on structural repairs for the covered walkways at Buri Buri Elementary, Sunshine Gardens Elementary and El Camino High School. At Parkway Heights Middle School, we are designing an open-air lunch structure that will provide students with 3000 square feet of covered outdoor seating, direct access to a lunch service counter, and views of the play fields.
