Forest Hills Residence

H+A designed a second story addition to this single family home in Forest Hills, originally built in the 1920's. The second story holds the master suite and features a gas fireplace and private balcony. An open kitchen and a rear deck were added to the first floor. The additions were designed to balance the original house's historic character with the family's modern lifestyle.

Our design also provided new finishes inside and out. The new windows are more energy efficient. A San Francisco necessity, a full garage was added by converting the existing rough basement.
