Cleveland Elementary School Modernization

Hamilton + Aitken Architects designed the modernization of this K-5 elementary school building as a single project; however, when funding limits precluded bidding the entire scope, our firm repackaged the State - approved documents to optimize the work, so that it can be performed by smaller contractors in phasing to meet the funding flow. The first phase of construction dealt with architectural features that had the most immediate and dramatic impact - a new exterior paint scheme; re-roofing of the permanent buildings; and playground resurfacing.

Currently underway, Phase II includes replacement of the mechanical system and fire alarm; new technology upgrades; accessibility ramps and site improvements; new restrooms; and the replacement of operable partitions with permanent sound-insulated walls.
