Hamilton + Aitken Architects designed a two-level rear yard addition that enlarged the existing kitchen creating a breakfast nook with exterior deck. New roof dormers allowed a stair and full-size bathroom on the upper floor, improving the function of the three-bedroom home. The interior was renovated to preserve as much of the original cottage detail that remained and to complement it with the newer kitchen and bathrooms. A new stair was added to the rear yard, paved patio and garden.
